Sunset Beauties

There is nothing like the golden California light that out of state photographers long for. We are so fortunate to have it here EVERYDAY! Meghan is one of my closest friends who recently moved back to Cali from the middle of America. Good thing she went out there because she met an amazing guy and had 2 BEAUTIFUL daughters. Since being away from the coast she wanted to get some photos done on the beach. Here are some shots from our session.

My Heart Melts....

Meet Ethan. My heart melts with this little guy. He is my youngest Nephew and currently (until our little man comes - ANY day now!) the baby in our family. This is my brothers son and it has been so fun watching my big bro grow as a father. Ethan is so fun and full of energy - I would expect nothing less from my brothers child hehe. I'll let the pictures speak for themselves - WHAT A CUTIE RIGHT?!!

Little Ladies

What is that saying? Girls are sugar and spice and everything nice? That is true for these little ladies, but one thing I also love is that they know how to play! They are not afraid to get in there and run around barefoot. This family is one of my favorite clients! It’s been so fun to watch these girlies grow and see their personalities shine. It’s crazy that the last time I photographed them the youngest was just crawling around! Thank you guys for being so awesome!!!

Happy Birthday Hayvn!!

Hayvn is 1 years old today! It was so fun to capture him on his actual Birth Day! I loved being able to go to his house and capture some lifestyle photos of his 'domain'. Cameron actually shot his parents wedding back when he first started back in his film days. It's so neat to watch our clients families grow and get to see where their lives have taken them. We love you Jeremy, Sarah, and Hayvn!!

Connolly Family

Meet the Connolly Family. They are such awesome people!! Recent Central Coast dwellers they branched off to bigger waters. They wanted to do a shoot before their move to the San Diego area and I was so excited to capture their loving family. They are not only amazing people but creative and inspiring entrepreneurs. Clayton is a super talented musician and he and his wife Jessica started Acholi Beads. I am sure you have seen the beads in stores around the area and now they are being sold all over the U.S. Their hearts are golden and their mission is love. They empower people affected by war and injustice in Uganda by selling their handmade jewelry – from recycled magazines! They are so beautiful. Baby K

Sweet baby 'K' is so precious. I love when parents come on the day of the shoot and say - "He/She is sort of shy" or "They are not the most smiley today". That just means I get to crack them! I admit, I have no problem acting like a complete fool to get a smile from a little face. Plus - it's my job!!! I want to enter into that babies world instead of trying to make them perform. Baby K was no sweat. She was fed, changed, napped, and ready to go. Here are a few from that session:

New Life Series (Part III)

Photographing Kellen has been so much fun! This was our last shoot from our 3 part New Life Series. Check out Kellen’s Newborn Shoot, and their Maternity Shoot. I cannot wait to make them their album of their precious little one. I love the fact that life before he was born and his first year is so documented! Maybe that is because I am the youngest of 3 and there are practically no photos of me when I was younger. I know that our children someday will NOT have that problem.

After having been in Kellen's home I was able to get a good feel for their style and what backdrops would look great on their walls. We went to this great little spot in San Luis Obispo for the photography. Kellen was all smiles with all the tractors and bikes around. We eventually found greener pastures and played with some balls and toys. Let me tell you - this little guy is all boy. He's such a sweet little bruiser.

Roberts Family - Take II

The Roberts family multiplied! Sue called me up to capture her family that was visiting in from out of town. 6 Adults and 2 kids later we were ready and shooting. I photographed the Roberts Family a year ago for some family shots and it was great to do it again with even more family. It is so much fun to work with clients again. They become more like friends and there kids grow with you. Her girls were even more comfortable with me this time and it was great to see how much they have grown!


Sue's sister and family were there with their 2 boys (cutest little blondies!) and Sue's parents. I started with some group shots and then had a few minutes with each child to capture their little personalities. The emphasis was mostly on the children so we took them to a bench and then a small creek.













Now is a great time to get photos of the family. We are designing some new templates for Christmas and New Year's Cards. We also have some great options of paper and sizes. Hurry up and schedule your time before it's too late!

I was so pleased to capture these sweet little ones for their Father's Day Present to their Daddy. I wanted to blog them awhile ago but knew I couldn't because I would ruin the surprise. The oldest Lilly was a bit shy at first but at the end of the session had me running around with her. Little Lauren had the most adorable little dimples! We got her laughing and in no time she was flashing them for the camera. When I went to post this blog I just kept hearing that song from the movie Gigi and I had to check out the lyrics....they were so cute I had to post them. Thanks so much girls! You were awesome!!

Mostly Olivia

A few weeks ago Cameron and I photographed an engagement session in Santa Barbara. The session included Cameron and I, Matt, Tara, and mostly Olivia. While Cameron photographed them together I snuck away with Olivia to get some shots of her showing off. Here are some of my favorites from the afternoon.






Olivia is going to make a beautiful bridesmaid (this must not be mistaken for flower girl – I was already reprimanded once for making that mistake).



I also gave Olivia a little photo lesson - she did pretty good too! Thanks again for a great day!

Yeah for Fall !!!

Fall is falling and I am sooo happy about it! I love having to put a sweater on before I go outside (sometimes a sweater – we still live on the Central Coast don’t we?!). The colors are such beautiful backdrops! Also, I cannot help but feel excited about fall because I was engaged in this season only a short year ago: Our Engagment. My most recent shoot was at the Avila Valley Barn a short drive from our house. If you haven’t gone yet this season – GO NOW!!! The pumpkins are out and there are 2 hay-mazes that are great for kids (and adults). Cameron and I were there a few weeks before check out that adventure here: Pumpkin Adventure .




The Roberts girls also LOVE pumpkins and had a blast on the shoot. Apparently this was their 3rd time there that week!! It was so much fun stepping into their little world and capturing moments as they ran around and giggled. Thanks Roberts – your family is adorable!!

Ethan Chase

Meet Ethan Chase, he is one of my little nephews and every time I kiss his chubby little cheeks I get a bit ooey-gooey inside. On a quick visit to see my brother, sister-in-law, and little Ethan I couldn’t resist snapping a few photos of the little guy. This is their first baby and I have to boast, they are AWESOME parents. You wouldn’t know that they’ve only had 3 months practice! Cameron and I did a shoot a while back for them during their pregnancy, check those out here Ethan Chase!



I couldn’t help but post so many pictures because they were all so cute!! Cameron finally had to help me trim them down because how many pictures with the same expression can you have?! (If you ask me – LOTS). He started to make fun of me as I was processing them and squealing and ‘oochoo-booboo-ing’ to the computer screen. I admit, I was a bit ridiculous. I am sure you will probably see lots of the little guys on my blog, along with ALL of my adorable nephews and niece!!
